Netherlands - 2024
In the summer of 2022, while living in Seattle, I became friends with two PhD candidates from different countries. A year later, I was walking around Washington, D.C., with one of them and was invited to attend her PhD defense in Amsterdam in 2024. Having already visited the other PhD candidate in South Korea, I promised I would go. True to my word, in 2024, I found myself in Amsterdam attending my friend’s PhD defense.
